The 8th District is the quarter mainly characterized by the Champs Elysees, the beautiful avenue live of tourism thanks to its cafés, bars and galleries of shops. At the very heart of Paris, it is one of the most symbolic places in the city, representative of its spirit and glory.
The Champs Elysees are also greatly appreciated for their cultural aspect, with the Palais de la Découverte which will make you appreciate science, but also with the Grand and Petit Palais, witnesses of the great era, which house numerous exhibitions. The Petit Palais has been the residence of the French Presidents since 1873.
Interesting in this area is the Madeleine, a Napoleonic structure on the classical temple model which was built for the emperor as yet another monument to the victory of his army.
