Hotels Paris Marais
Along with the 4th District, this area makes up the Marais, one of the oldest areas in Paris. Many 17th century mansions that once housed the noblest families in Paris are still to be seen in this quiet and ungentrified quarter Once this district was the place in which noblemen took their residence and some of them have been turned into museums: for example, the Picasso museum and the Carnavalet museum.
Le Marais takes its name because of the many floods at each rising of the Seine. From the first the monks invested the places then it will be the Jewish community which will be followed by the aristocrats. That is why this quarter is so rich in history, architecture, museums and hotels.
