Hotels Paris Saint Germain des Pres
Saint-Germain des Prés is an extension of the Latin Quarter and has more or less the same characteristics. Once this area was home to bohemians and intellectuals and for this reason is considered a little bit more chic then the Latin Quarter. Several boutiques, art galleries and restaurants are located everywhere.
The famous Saint-Sulpice church, which is situated in the heart of Saint-Germain des Prés area in the 6th district, has the size and plan of Notre-Dame de Paris. The first stone was laid in 1646 on the remains of an older and smaller church. If you are in this quarter, you cannot loose a visit to the Museum Zadkine, and the Musée de la Monnaie, that shows the history of French coinage from Roman times to today.
